We spent a lot of time exploring Oregon during the summer and making the most of the nice weather.
Martina, Ellie & Jack also enjoyed a trip back to Florida, while I had to stay back and work. Continue reading “June – September 2017”

Well, it didn’t take him long. I would have put good money on Jack being the first to break a bone, but what was perhaps more surprising was that he wasn’t horsing around or doing something he shouldn’t. In fact, he came to break his arm at the hand of Ellie.
Ellie and Jack were having a… disagreement, and in the course of events, Jack came to fall off of the bench that they were both on perhaps (definitely) because of Ellie’s hand that pushed him off of it. Continue reading “Jack’s first broken bone”
So much are we loving life in Oregon that we haven’t stopped for an hour or more to be able to put up a few pictures. But with Martina away for the weekend and winter setting in, I’m taking the opportunity to catch up.
Here’s a variety of photos from April to June this year. Continue reading “April – June 2017”
As was the case in January, it’s been a bit manic lately with our move to Portland, so we haven’t had much time to do updates on the website here.
But, rather than deprive you all of Jack’s cuteness, here’s another little compilation from the last couple of months. Continue reading “February – April 2017”
With our move to Portland coming up very quickly, we’ve had little time to update the site of late. So, rather than neglect to provide an update, I figured I’d do a quick compilation of the best pictures of Jack that we have from the past month.
Jack is at the perfect age where he’s a lot of fun, likes to play and is exploring new things, while not being old enough to be grumpy for no good reason or demanding things.
It was a really fun, low-key Christmas. Continue reading “Jack’s second Christmas”
We recently were told about a cool park adjacent to Albert Whitted Airport, a small municipal airport on the water in downtown St Pete.
The park is airport-themed: the climbing equipment is aeroplane-shaped and the paths in the park are even laid out and striped like an airfield’s taxiways and runways.
Obviously, Ellie loved it, but Jack got a lot out of it too. He spent quite a bit of time piloting one of the planes. Continue reading “Piloting a plane”
Jack seems to be a bit slower than Ellie to pick up on speech, but then given how exceptionally she speaks, that’s perhaps not a wonder.
Nonetheless, Jack is very interactive. He jokes and plays and definitely understands what you’re saying.
This afternoon, just before we read a book, I thought we’d take a little picture together and Jack loved it, seeing himself on the screen and smiling at himself. Continue reading “Becoming more interactive”
This summer, we spent a couple of weeks visiting with family in New England. We spent about a week each in Bath, NH and Kingston, MA.
While there, Jack got to meet his second cousins, Addison, Mason and Emmerson as well as other family members.
While there, he perfected walking and finally got the tooth through that had been bugging him for weeks. Continue reading “Jack’s first vacation – New England 2016”
At church on Sundays we sit in beanbags. Jack decided he needed his own and he looked right at home in it. Continue reading “Chilling in a beanbag”
