There are many ways in which Jack is different from Ellie. Several of the things he does don’t surprise us much because we’ve already seen them in Ellie, but there are some things which he does vastly differently from Ellie and thus, stand out.
One of these is Jack’s love of music. He loves to play the xylophone, loves to jam and bop along to music and also loves his drumset.
The other day, I put him up on my shoulders and started dancing to a song and he loved it!

Jack is one insanely adorable child. He now understands when you ask for hugs and kisses and the way he comes up to you to give them out, including the way he tries to wrap his arms around you is enough to melt anyone’s heart. Continue reading “Jack giving out hugs and kisses [VIDEO]”
This evening, Jack spontaneously started shaking his head at the dinner table, somewhat vigorously. Not sure what he was disapproving of, but he seemed to be enjoying being defiant! Continue reading “Jack shaking his head [VIDEO]”
Jack started taking his first steps about a month ago and was just toddling along. It wasn’t until he was in New England with his cousins that he really decided he wanted to take part in playing with them. And so off he went! Continue reading “Jack walking to see Ellie [VIDEO]”
Jack loves to roll around and play in his crib (cot) first thing in the morning so often we’ll play along with him. Recently, Mama decided to throw his blanket over his head which he found hilarious. Continue reading “Playing peekaboo under the sheets [VIDEO]”
It has been a whole year now since Jack was born.
366 whole days.
I’m really finding it hard to fathom that. It came so much quicker than it did with Ellie because life has been so much busier with two than it was with one.
Nonetheless, our little man really is becoming a little man now. He’s on the precipice of walking and all of a sudden, he’s changed from a little bundle of body parts to a little boy with human stature. It’s bizarre to witness.
This evening, to celebrate his birthday, we went to Love Food Central in St Pete – one of our favourite local vegan places – to enjoy dinner with some family. The owners were even kind enough to give Jack a piece of peanut butter pie with a candle in it and he boshed the lot of it! Continue reading “Jack’s 1st birthday [VIDEO]”
In another moment where I receive a text at work and instantly wish I could spend more time with my kids, I got a message from Martina with a video of them at the park. Ellie is pushing Jack on the swing and he’s having so much fun. It’s adorable and a testament to the amazing sister that Ellie is. Continue reading “Ellie pushing Jack on the swing [VIDEO]”
It is fair to say that Jack has found his voice. He’s been making some sounds for a few weeks now, but he also seems to have discovered that he can control his volume and he’s not afraid to let it rip. Continue reading “Jabbering and screaming [VIDEO]”
For the past few weeks, Jack has randomly burst into a boogey. The other night, I had some music on and he was going crazy for it. Thankfully he let me catch a little snippet on video, because it’s ridiculously adorable. Continue reading “Jack boogeying [VIDEO]”
While playing with Jack recently, someone accidentally stepped on or knocked a squeaky giraffe that he has. He found it hilarious, so I proceeded to play with it for him. Nothing beats the giggles that you get at this age. Continue reading “Jack giggling away [VIDEO]”
