Future Hallowe’en Ideas

Sadly for Jack, we’ve already got myriad great ideas for how to dress him up at Hallowe’en. We never usually participate, but these are too good to pass up:

  • Jack O’ Lantern
  • Jackfruit
  • Jackpot
  • Jack of all trades
  • Jackhammer
  • Jackson 5
  • Jackknife
  • Union Jack
  • Jack and the Beanstalk
  • Jacked up
  • Jack in the box
  • Jack and Jill
  • Jackrabbit
  • Hijack
  • Lo-jack
  • Jack Black
  • Jack White
  • Jack Frost
  • Jack Russell
  • Jack the lad
  • Jack the Ripper
  • Jackass

I doubt we’ll be able to contain ourselves and only do one of these each year, so stand by because there will probably be a bunch of these done while he’s still young enough to let us do whatever we want without him complaining.

Jack’s 2-week picture

It’s been a few days since I last posted an update, but that’s because it’s quite a busy job parenting two children! Also, I went back to work this week, though I’m starting off with half days to ease back into things.

We can’t believe how much Jack is changing from day to day: he’s really starting to take on his own appearance and looks vastly different from his newborn and 1-week photos. Continue reading “Jack’s 2-week picture”

Meeting Ellie for the first time [VIDEO]

Being that Jack was born at 7.05pm, Ellie was already sleep when he arrived, so it wasn’t until the following morning that he got to meet her.

I think it’s very apparent from this video that she’s going to be an amazing big sister to Jack and that they’re going to have a very special relationship as they grow up together. Continue reading “Meeting Ellie for the first time [VIDEO]”

Relaxing together in bed

Since Jack was born, there’s been a flurry of activity here with cleaning up, doing laundry and of course calling everyone to let them know that Jack has arrived.

We’ve finally got to the point where we can settle down and enjoy a few moments together, so I was quick to jump on that bandwagon. Continue reading “Relaxing together in bed”

Please welcome Jack William Clements

Jack was born in the beauty and calm of his own home at 7.05pm on 5/5/15. Martina did an amazing job and both she and Jack are perfectly healthy. He weighed 9lbs 11oz and measured 24 ΒΌ” long.

If you wish to stay up-to-date with Jack’s development, there’s a little sign-up field in the sidebar, which will allow you to receive a brief email when new updates are posted.

If you wish to visit us or Jack, please get in touch with us first. This is a very special time and naturally we’re exhausted, so please plan something with us and expect to be asked to keep your stay short.

Maternity photo shoot

This pregnancy, we enlisted the services of the fantastic Sarah Wood, a photographer here in St Pete that we have the pleasure of calling friend.

Martina wanted to get some nice maternity shots, so we headed down to Fort DeSoto and started snapping away. Fortunately, Ellie was willing to play along and we even got some good shots of her while we were at it. Continue reading “Maternity photo shoot”

Progress report

It’s been quite a while since we’ve mentioned anything about Jack. It’s not that he’s not on our minds (or our bladder, spine or cervix), but we’ve just been mightily busy raising one child and trying to move house as well.

In the past month, despite Martina being over 8 months pregnant, we moved house to give ourselves much more room and to be closer to family. The house was much dirtier than ever anticipated and needed a lot of work to get it to be livable, so we’ve spent all of our spare time in the past few weeks painting, fixing, cleaning and arranging. We’re just about there now. Continue reading “Progress report”
